The Shepherd's Time Piece

Cast in fine pewter, these sundials are a stunning recreation of the sundials used by shepherds in the mountains of France as they tended their animals hundreds of years ago. Not only elegant as a pendant, but a beautiful reminder of a slower time period. Simply turn the center of the ring until the small hole aligns with the initial of the current month, then suspend the dial so the hole faces the sun and a ray of sunlight will appear on the hour. Aquitaine sundial is 1 1/2" dia., the Celtic Sundial is 1" in diameter. (These dials are not intended to be as accurate as modern day timepieces, as with all sundials, the accuracy will vary depending on the time of year and your location.)
